A Cornish mussel shell, held close in the early light. What first appears dark and unassuming slowly yields its hidden palette: deep sea blues dissolving into pearl, and a delicate blush of rose rising from within, colours the shell reveals only with the whisper of the sea and seen up close.

 

Cornish tin, worked finely through the surface, lends a soft, silvered lustre, the gleam of nacre catching the first light of dawn. An intimate painting of quiet discovery.
