Biophilic Process
Mineral, Light & Time
Each painting takes shape as a slow layered process, with mineral pigments, charcoal and natural materials applied gradually over time, in a textured abstract technique. The process is slow, deliberate, and intuitive, allowing surfaces to develop tactile depth, tonal balance, and subtle complexity over weeks rather than days.
Working with mixed media and rarefied minerals, Ali builds layers gradually, allowing each to rest and reveal its own direction. The work evolves in response to the environment, creating surfaces that engage the senses, invite contemplation, and bring a biophilic presence into interiors.
This attentive, unhurried practice ensures that each painting is original, materially grounded, and responsive to light and space, rewarding prolonged viewing and fostering a personal connection.
